Blue Point Recapitalizes Restoration Systems – A Strong Foundation for Growth

Partnership fuels expansion for leading building envelope repair and restoration services provider

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blue Point Capital Partners is pleased to announce the recapitalization of Restoration Systems (RSI), a leading Minneapolis-based provider of repair and restoration services for building facades and parking ramps. The company has over 25 years of experience enabling customers across commercial, medical, educational, governmental and multi-family end markets to effectively maintain their building envelopes.

Operating out of offices in Minneapolis and Milwaukee, RSI offers a comprehensive suite of services, including brick and stone repair, tuckpointing, waterproofing, concrete repair, traffic coating application and post-tension cable repair services across the Midwest. The company’s expertise and high standards for safety and quality have fueled double-digit growth in recent years.

“Blue Point’s experience with service-oriented and family-owned businesses, as well as their alignment with our culture and long-term goals, made them the right partner for RSI as we pursue continued growth through organic expansion and M&A,” said second-generation RSI Owner and President Blake Dronen, who will remain in his leadership role. “This partnership will enable us to further invest in our people, technology and capabilities, while continuing to deliver exceptional results for our customers and providing exciting opportunities for our team.”

Alongside Blue Point, RSI is well-positioned to accelerate its growth trajectory, expand its geographic reach and further strengthen its market leadership in facade and structural repair and restoration across the Midwest.

“RSI is an exciting addition to our past and current portfolio of family-owned field service businesses,” said Blue Point Partner Brian Castleberry. “Blake and his team have built an impressive and scalable platform, and we are primed to support their continued growth and success with more add-on acquisitions, new members of the team and investments in new locations, equipment and technology.”

RSI is actively seeking complementary partnerships with like-minded owners of commercial repair and restoration companies. Business owners interested in learning more may contact Blue Point Managing Director, Business Development, Megan Kneipp at mkneipp@bluepointcapital.com.

K&L Gates served as counsel to Blue Point on the transaction and Stout acted as the firm’s financial and tax advisor. Northborne Partners served as RSI’s sell-side advisor.

Restorations Systems (RSI) is the Midwest’s leading repair and restoration company specializing in concrete repair, masonry repair and waterproofing services for building facades and parking ramps. Using modern expertise and technology, RSI restores and preserves the places and spaces that fuel the future. The company’s expert craftsmanship comes from teamwork, innovation and a commitment to completing every project with care, precision and passion.
