Le Creuset Honors 100 Years with Innovative Cookware Honoring Its Original Iconic Hue and a Special-Edition Assouline Book

Celebrating a Legacy of Craftsmanship and Innovation, Le Creuset Unveils a Tribute to Its Storied Past and Visionary Future

CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Innovation has been at the forefront of Le Creuset since 1925. As the first brand to introduce colorful cast iron cookware, Le Creuset has consistently delivered the finest in quality and design. In honor of a century of craftsmanship, innovation, and inspiring culinary traditions, Le Creuset is proud to unveil two commemorative celebrations. The special-edition releases include a new color, Flamme Dorée, and a beautifully curated coffee table book created in collaboration with Assouline, Le Creuset: A Century of Colorful Cookware.

Introducing Flamme Dorée: A Shimmering Evolution of an Iconic Hue

Flamme Dorée, meaning “golden flame,” reimagines Le Creuset’s original, beloved Flame color, now featuring an innovative third layer of enamel coating, enhanced with light-catching minerals for a beautiful, golden shimmer. This radiant, limited-edition assortment honors Le Creuset’s legacy as a pioneer in colorful cookware and dedication to innovation. The centennial color joins a portfolio that has grown to include over 200 unique hues and nearly 1,000 product shapes since the company’s founding.

“Flamme Dorée embodies the bold innovation and timeless craftsmanship that define Le Creuset,” said Paul van Zuydam, Owner & Chairman of Le Creuset. “By combining these luminous minerals with layers of our original signature color, we are celebrating both our heritage and our forward-thinking approach to design - just as our original Flame cookware revolutionized kitchens a century ago.”

Le Creuset: A Century of Colorful Cookware: A Story of Heritage

To further commemorate memories made using Le Creuset over the last 100 years, the brand has partnered with Assouline to create Le Creuset: A Century of Colorful Cookware, a special-edition coffee table book that tells the story of the brand’s rich history, reputation for excellence, and coveted artistry.

Featuring an introduction by three-time James Beard Award winner Brett Martin, the book chronicles Le Creuset’s journey - from its founding days to its role as a symbol of shared meals and cherished memories. Complete with never-before-seen photographs, expert commentary from world-renowned chefs, and inspiring recipes, this book offers an intimate look at the craftsmanship and creativity that have defined the brand for a century.

“This book is an invitation to gather - to celebrate the generations of meals and traditions made possible by Le Creuset. It’s a tribute to our past and a glimpse into the bright, colorful future ahead,” said Christopher Scinto, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Le Creuset of America. “Partnering with Assouline has been an incredible journey as both brands are deeply rooted in French heritage and have a passion for vibrant, timeless design. This collaboration celebrates not only a rich history of craftsmanship and creativity, but also the ongoing impact both brands continue to have on a global scale, inspiring tastemakers worldwide.”
