Capgemini Appoints Gene Chao as Sales Leader for Infrastructure Services in the United States

NEW YORK--()--Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that Gene Chao has joined Capgemini’s Infrastructure Services business unit in the United States as vice president of sales. Chao will lead the Infrastructure Services U.S. sales team to help identify and secure new sales opportunities for the business in the region.

Chao comes to Capgemini with 20 years of consulting and sales experience, with a strong background in technology consulting, managed services and operational and financial performance transformation. He has served in leadership roles helping to direct sales, business development, and strategy for companies including Juniper Networks, Hewlett Packard Co., Dimension Data, France Telecom Group and Accenture. Chao began his career on Wall Street as a financial analyst with Shearson Lehman, where he gained broad corporate finance experience. Chao also holds a seat on the Board of Trustees for IndexIQ, a mutual fund and exchange-traded fund (ETF) provider.

Chao holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from the State University of New York College in Buffalo. He has also attended the Gordon Institute of Business Science Executive Leadership Program at the University of Pretoria in Johannesburg, South Africa.
