Orleans Homes Announces New Corporate Management Team

Dean Amann, Marek Bakun and John Evans Join Executive Ranks

BENSALEM, Pa.--()--Orleans Homes, one of the country’s oldest continually operated homebuilders, has announced three individuals to serve as the new management team alongside George E. Casey, Jr., President and CEO. The team will oversee the company’s business operations in 66 communities throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Virginia and Illinois.

Joining Casey are Dean Amann, who has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer; Marek Bakun, who has been appointed to Chief Financial Officer; and John Evans, who has been named Corporate Controller.

An overview of each member of the new management team is provided below.

Dean Amann

As Chief Operating Officer, Amann will oversee day-to-day operations and management of the company’s 66 communities. Previously, Amann served as Orleans’ Northeast Regional President and Executive Vice President.

Prior to joining Orleans, Amann served as the Rocky Mountain Area President of Pulte Homes and as Southeast Regional Vice President and Division President of Lennar Homes.

Amann has a BA in Psychology from Taylor University in Indiana and an MBA from the University of Denver.

Marek Bakun

As Chief Financial Officer, Bakun will manage the company’s financial operations, organizational efficiency and business strategy.

Prior to joining Orleans, Bakun spent 15 years in corporate finance, including five years as a CFO in the homebuilding industry. He was formerly the CFO of Mattamy Homes, a Canadian homebuilder in five markets, and CFO for Taylor Morrison, a national builder developer in the US and Canada that sold more than 6,000 new homes valued at more than $2 billion annually.

Bakun, a graduate of the University of Central Florida, is licensed in Florida as a Certified Public Accountant, Real Estate Broker, and General Contractor. Throughout his career, Bakun has been involved in various charities and organizations, including Habitat for Humanity.

John Evans

As Corporate Controller, Evans will direct all of the accounting, finance and budget management activities of the company.

Evans joins Orleans Homes from Lenner, a national homebuilding company, where he served as Vice President and Northeast Region Operations Controller.

Previously, Evans served as Northeast Area & New England Division Vice President of Finance at Pulte Homes, Assistant Corporate Controller at Essroc Cement Corp., and Audit Senior at Ernst and Young.

Evans received his BS from Wilkes University and his MBA from DeSales University.
