Real Estate Guru Launches Free Summer Academy for Teachers So They Can Earn Extra Income by ‘Flipping’ Homes

NASHVILLE, Tenn.--()--Across America teachers are struggling to make ends meet. According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, 17.9 percent of public school teachers worked a second job during the 2015-2016 school year. Data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that teachers are 5 times as likely as the average US full-time worker to have a part-time job. Often times these second jobs are in low paying fields such as retail or babysitting.

“I had no money, no background in real estate and very little time, as I had just had a baby. Under Brad’s guidance, I generated $175,000 in equity value in less than 6 months”

Brad Smotherman, a real estate investor from Nashville, TN, was moved to action when he learned a teacher from his daughter’s schools worked weekends in a fast food restaurant and had little free time to spend with her own children.

“My daughter’s teacher should be able to provide for her family as well as I do for mine. Teachers need a dignified way to earn extra income so they can enjoy the same standard of living that most professionals aspire to,” said Smotherman.

Smotherman, who became a multi-millionaire through real estate investing by age 30, is launching a free ‘Real Estate Summer Academy’ for teachers, so they too can gain financial security through real estate. He has a soft spot for teachers as his wife was a kindergarten teacher before his success enabled her to retire.

Smotherman’s students will not be studying to earn a brokers license. Instead he’s going to teach them the tips and tricks that real estate insiders call ‘Creative Financing,’ which involve analyzing data to find good deals and matching homeowners with investors. Through Creative Financing, teachers can acquire and sell properties without using any of their own money. A great business, Smotherman believes, for smart, hardworking people with limited savings.

“Teachers are fast learners, great with numbers, and even better with people. They have all the natural traits needed to succeed in real estate,” said Smotherman

Smotherman has helped other service professionals develop financial freedom through real estate, including Stephanie Vaughn, a nurse from Murfreesboro, TN who trained under Smotherman during the fall of 2017.

“I had no money, no background in real estate and very little time, as I had just had a baby. Under Brad’s guidance, I generated $175,000 in equity value in less than 6 months,” said Vaughn.

Would be real estate investors typically pay thousands of dollars, as did Smotherman, to learn how to navigate the world of Creative Real Estate Finance. Smotherman will be sharing his wisdom and experience with teachers for free.

“If my daughter’s teacher is financially secure, then she’s more likely to provide my daughter a quality education. I’m just doing my part to make our school system better,” said Smotherman.

Smotherman's ‘Real Estate Summer Academy’ runs June 15 to August 15 at www.bradsmotherman.com/teachers. Registration is free for certified teachers.
