LoanMart Sponsors Boys Club of Cicero’s Annual Fundraiser

LoanMart supports community fundraising efforts

VAN NUYS, Calif.--()--LoanMart sponsored the Boys Club of Cicero’s annual fundraiser raffle, A Night at the Club. Other local businesses sponsoring the event, included: Lagunitas Brewing Company, Kristian Navarro with State Farm, Walton Contractors, Martin Slusarz, CSI 3000, and Paisans Pizzeria. Through a combined effort, the Boys Club’s sponsors raised over 15,000 dollars for the night.

The Boys Club of Cicero is a vital asset to the community, keeping kids on track to graduate by providing a safe after school environment. The club enables young people to become caring citizens and future leaders. With these donations, they can provide children with more programs that promote healthy living, academic achievement, and character building skills. The Boys Club recently installed a tech center for the students and is planning on installing a full kitchen that will serve over 30,000 meals a year. Plans are also in development to expand the center to include girls.

The event included food, an open bar, and a photo booth. La Ley, 107.9 was present at the event as well. A live painter brought over stunning samples as well as a painting of Frida Kahlo, and started work on a Van Gogh-inspired Chicago skyline. Items up for raffle included an autographed Magic Johnson photo, a guitar signed by Ulices Chaidez, a Patrick Kane Blackhawks Journey, a large screen TV, Cubs tickets, and many others.
