Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Moceanu Opens Gymnastics Center with Yoga Studio

State-of-the-art gym opens for business in Cleveland suburb of Medina

CLEVELAND--()--The Dominique Moceanu Gymnastics Center, a state-of-the-art, safety-first gym developed and designed by Olympic gold medalist Dominique Moceanu, has opened its doors for business in Medina, Ohio.

The Center represents the fulfillment of a lifetime goal for Moceanu, the youngest gymnast to ever win Olympic gold. Her first-of-its-kind, gymnastics and yoga center is conveniently positioned between Cleveland and Akron and features all the latest gymnastics equipment in a clean, safe environment.

The new facility, also featuring Carmen’s Yoga Studio, has been enrolling students at a steady pace and will begin official classes later this week. The Center is located at 734 N. Progress Drive in Medina. The Center will also house Moceanu’s popular full and half day summer camps featuring instruction by Moceanu and guest appearances by a number of her world-renowned fellow gymnastic legends.

Moceanu wanted to build upon her championship legacy for her family, children and community by opening a unique facility. After years of passionately advocating nationwide for a safer, positive gymnastics environment, free from abuse, Dominique has overseen every detail of the new gym with a focus on athlete health and safety and a joyful celebration of the sport! The Dominique Moceanu Gymnastics Center is designed to be a place where every family member can also participate in activities ranging from instructional gymnastics and gymnastics camps to yoga! The Center’s motto is: “Peace. Strength. Balance.”

The Center will combine the principles of yoga and gymnastics under one roof. Yoga classes will be available for adults and children, so moms can relax and de-stress in a yoga class while their children participate in gymnastics sessions. The yoga center is named after Moceanu’s young daughter, Carmen. Moceanu’s son, Vincent, a competitive gymnast, will train at the gym.
