Fortune International Group Pays off $284 Million HSBC Construction Loan Well Ahead of Jade Signature Opening

The highly-anticipated luxury tower created by Herzog & de Meuron, achieves financing milestone two weeks after closings

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Fla.--()--Miami, Fla.-based real estate development company Fortune International Group today announced that it has paid off a $284 million construction loan on Jade Signature. The 57-story, luxury oceanfront condominium, created by Herzog & de Meuron, is located at 16901 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach.

“To have reached this landmark achievement so quickly--along with the outpouring of excitement from our buyers who have been taking possession of their magnificent asset--is an especially proud moment”

The repayment comes two weeks on the heels of the project receiving its temporary certificate of occupancy (TCO), signaling the start of closings for the tower, which is set to officially host its grand opening in March. Fortune International Group received the $284 million construction loan from HSBC in September 2014. Jade Signature is the third Fortune project financed by HSBC. The lender also previously gave loans for sister-projects Jade Residences at Brickell Bay and Jade Beach.

“To have reached this landmark achievement so quickly--along with the outpouring of excitement from our buyers who have been taking possession of their magnificent asset--is an especially proud moment,” said Edgardo Defortuna, President and CEO of Fortune International Group. “Paying off a construction loan of this size is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the strength of our team of industry leaders. Their efforts on this extraordinary development have surpassed expectations.”

Jade Signature’s success is attributed to the sale of more than 95 percent of the 192 residences to an array of buyers across Latin America, the U.S. and Europe. The exclusive residences were developed under the leadership of husband-and-wife team Edgardo and Ana Cristina Defortuna of Fortune International Group, and created by the Pritzker-Prize winning architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron--in collaboration with Parisian interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) and landscape architect Raymond Jungles.

For the select group of residents who will reside in Jade Signature, the building’s cutting-edge design is poised to ensure the ultimate experience in luxury living. The oceanfront tower’s most intricate details demonstrate a revolutionary approach toward meeting the needs and desires of residents, while also utilizing the natural environment in an eco-conscious manner. From the tower’s natural ventilation system to its brilliant, slightly angled position along the beach--maximizing the influx of sunlight across the grounds--the architects have left no detail overlooked, making the property incomparable to any other residential building along Miami’s coastline.

Jade Signature will furthermore be marked by a seemingly endless list of resort-style features, including a stunning beachfront deck with an organic free-form swimming pool with zero entry, secluded cabanas, a heated spa surrounded by nature, and a 25-meter lap pool. Private beach amenities will additionally include chaise lounges, umbrellas and an oceanfront restaurant.

Primed for pure relaxation and a healthy lifestyle, Jade Signature will also have a full-service spa for residents and guests, complete with a sauna, steam room, hammam, relaxation zone, and treatment rooms. Additional property amenities will include a state-of-the-art fitness center, library and reading lounge, wine bar, clubroom, entertainment and game lounge, business center, play room for children and teens, private elevator entrances, full-service concierge, underground parking and smart technology throughout the building.

The roots of Jade and the journey of its brand trace back to 2004 and Miami’s Financial District, where Jade on Brickell Bay was developed by Fortune International Group. The project’s prominence and accolades eventually paved the way for the creation of Jade Ocean and Jade Beach in Sunny Isles--and now, Jade Signature. Coinciding with Jade Signature’s final stages of completion, the company celebrated an additional milestone in November: the commemoration of nearly 35 years in the luxury residential real estate industry…a benchmark that will be celebrated when Jade Signature officially opens in the weeks ahead.
