SweatHaus’ New Sweat23 Program Takes on “Big Fitness” by Introducing New Training Philosophies

SAN DIEGO--()--Sweat23TM, the first-of-its-kind program designed to optimize indoor training and functional health, is tackling practices of the fitness industry head-on with a whole new perspective on physical activity and healthy living.

“Where Big Fitness is not a cognitive, proactive, idea-stimulating industry by design”

The Sweat23 system was designed by Dom DiLuigi, BUD/S Class 162 “Iron Man” and founder of San Diego-based training destination, SweatHaus. DiLuigi, considered among the nation’s foremost experts on functional health and effective training, recently unveiled the Sweat23 concept and it is already receiving rave reviews and demonstrating significant results among the early adopters applying the system.

Similar to valiant efforts by innovators in other industries aiming to take on “Big Pharma” and “Big Tobacco,” among other unhealthy practices promoted by large corporations, Sweat23 flies in the face of conventional “workout culture” and is seen by many as an affront to “Big Fitness.”

“Our program is built around the very notion that the best training system is made up of 23-minute modular sessions or classes,” said DiLuigi. “Most physically active people have been force-fed the notion that one-hour sessions are the be-all, end-all, but we now know that’s ridiculous. The only ones benefiting from that are the chain fitness businesses. We’ve chosen instead to focus on what works best for the individual.”

Because the vast majority of injuries occur between the 26th and 46th minutes of physical exercise, and typical hour-long training sessions often result in diminished returns and ‘overtraining’ symptoms or injuries, DiLuigi developed the Sweat23 training program, providing participants the opportunity to mix and match, creating the ideal, personalized experience, empowering each guest to reach personal goals, regardless of age, training experience level, weight or body type.

The Sweat23 program is also designed to account for the conditioning of the mind-body relationship, not just the physical aspects of training.

“Where Big Fitness is not a cognitive, proactive, idea-stimulating industry by design,” added DiLuigi, “it’s good for business to encourage people to ‘don’t think…just do it!’ Our approach moves in the opposite direction and provides engaging explanations relating to the cause and effect of each modality. We then utilize those modalities in a collective, metered fashion, breaking down the barriers to present a tailored program in terms of what each individual should look to accomplish in pursuit of his or her personal ‘functional health’ journey.”

SweatHaus in San Diego is now offering more than 100 classes per week – each built with the sole intention of progressing training as part of the Sweat23 system.
