Charleston, SC Most Expensive Spring Destination in the USA

CHARLESTON, S.C.--()--Charleston is the most expensive spring destination in the United States, according to the latest survey from The survey compared all U.S. destinations based on their cost of lodging during the months of April and May 2017.

Specifically, the survey established for each destination the minimum price travelers will have to pay to stay in the cheapest available double room. It bears mentioning that only centrally located hotels and inns with an overall rating of at least 3 stars were taken into consideration.

In Charleston, the second largest city in South Carolina, visitors will have to spend an average of $241 per night for the least expensive double room. Only slightly less expensive is Nashville. The capital city of Tennessee takes the second spot on the survey with an average overnight rate of $237. Napa, CA rounds out the podium at an average nightly rate of $234 for its most affordable double room.

Key West is the most expensive destination in Florida, ranking fourth most expensive in the United States. Austin and Boston are two additional capital cities that made it into the Top 10. This spring, they are boasting average rates of $224 and $216 per night, respectively, for their least expensive room.
