Altice USA Unveils Faster Broadband Speeds across Entire Optimum Footprint

Altice USA Now Offers 300 Mbps Broadband Speeds for Optimum Residential Customers and 350 Mbps for Optimum Business Customers

NEW YORK--()--Altice USA today unveiled faster high-quality broadband service across the Optimum footprint in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with speeds of up to 300 Mbps downstream for residential customers and up to 350 Mbps downstream for business customers. These new speeds, which are being introduced less than four months after Altice acquired Cablevision and its Optimum system, provide customers with more choice when it comes to selecting the right bandwidth to fit their communication needs. Altice USA, a subsidiary of Altice Group (Euronext: ATC, ATCB) a leading telecommunications, media and entertainment company, is the fourth largest cable operator in the U.S.

Altice USA is excited to launch significantly faster speeds across the Optimum footprint, made possible by investment in our superior network and infrastructure,” said Dexter Goei, Chairman and CEO of Altice USA.We are particularly pleased to be able to meet our public interest commitments more than one year ahead of schedule. Across the globe, Altice’s business model is centered on delivering the most advanced technology and capabilities. Today’s accelerated introduction of faster Optimum broadband speeds marks only the beginning of the new products and service enhancements that we plan to bring to our customers in the U.S.”

Altice is introducing 300 Mbps service across the Optimum service area more than one year before its public interest merger commitment. Previously, Optimum’s highest internet tier was 101 Mbps.

Optimum Residential

In addition to the new 300 Mbps tier, the company is also introducing a 200 Mbps tier to provide more choice and flexibility to customers. Pricing for Optimum broadband service is the most competitive in our area, with packages starting at $44.95 for Optimum 60, and for $20 additional customers can more than triple their speed with Optimum 200.

Optimum Business

Optimum Business customers now have access to two new tiers as well, Business Optimum 250 and Business Optimum 350, which are priced extremely competitively and around $100 less than the similar speed tier offered by the largest area competitor.

In additional to these new, faster speed offerings, Optimum residential and business internet customers enjoy free access to many additional benefits:

  • Optimum WiFi: the densest WiFi network in the nation featuring more than 1.5 million hotspots across the tri-state area
  • Commitment to Service: high-quality network backed by 24/7 customer support on a variety of platforms including Twitter, Facebook, chat, phone and more

  • Email: depending on service level, customers receive up to 25 email accounts with up to 5 GB of space and remote email access from anywhere
