MAD Greens created National Salad Week to celebrate salads and highlight how easy it is to incorporate eating better into the daily routine. A report released by the Center for Disease Control in 2015 found that fewer than 18 percent of adults consumed enough fruit and less than 14 percent consumed the recommended amount of vegetables each day. At MAD Greens guests can choose from 44+ premium toppings to boost the nutritional benefits of their meal, including avocado, egg, edamame, strawberries, mango and walnuts, for more than 134 million satiating salad combinations.

Throughout National Salad Week, MAD Greens will also spread salad joy by featuring salad-centric recipes and tips on Content will be authored by MAD Greens’ own Chef Dan Long as well as community and local sourcing partners like Johnson’s Backyard Garden in Texas and Denver Urban Gardens in Colorado.

In the month of August alone, MAD Greens served up 11,500 pounds of tomatoes, nearly 56,000 pounds of lettuce greens, 5,500 pounds of carrots, 36,000 avocados and 23,000 apples.

Within minutes fans will receive a confirmation email from MAD Greens that includes a mobile coupon to be redeemed at the register in restaurants.
