Featuring Rachael “Ro Ro” Johnson, Alexis Bell, Delenia Adams and Licensed Therapist, Spirit

NEW YORK--()--On social media, you can create the picture perfect life. But what happens when reality hits and it’s time to be real and face your current situation? Set in Atlanta, the New York of the South, #MYCURRENTSITUATION: ATLANTA is a six-part one-hour docu-series that will premiere Saturday, August 20 at 10 PM ET/PT on CENTRIC and follows three Atlanta women as they navigate their complicated situations and ask themselves some tough questions about life, love and happiness.

  • Meet Rachael “Ro Ro” Johnson, a model and actress, Ro Ro makes a living off of her girl-next-door look and beauty-queen smile. But when it’s not “lights, camera, action,” Ro Ro becomes Rachael- a woman deeply insecure about her cystic acne and facial scars, who takes hours to apply make–up each morning and has yet to share her natural beauty with her boyfriend and close-knit friends for fear of judgment or worse- rejection.
  • Meet Alexis Bell, a 29-year-old mom and aspiring recording artist, Alexis is committed to making it big on Atlanta’s hot music scene to help provide for her two young boys. But despite a deal with Empire Records, Alexis is homeless and finds shelter in her car. Parking in desolate streets and parks across Atlanta, Alexis must face her homelessness and confront her truth.
  • Meet Delenia Adams, professional wrestler and mother of two, Delenia is about to get married to her wrestling partner fiancé Matthew King. But despite their loving relationship and years of dating, Delenia is having second thoughts about her upcoming nuptials. Matthew is actually seven years her junior and at only 23 years old, Delenia questions his ability to become a husband and father at such a young age.

Throughout the series, the women of #MYCURRENTSITUATION: ATLANTA work with licensed psychotherapist, Spirit, to come up with solutions that will start them on a path to healing and happiness. As a licensed therapist, media personality, wife and devoted mother of six, Spirit sparks the transformation that these women are looking for as they navigate through some of the toughest decisions in their lives and address issues that you don’t see on their glossy social media profiles.

#MYCURRENTSITUATION: ATLANTA was created and executive produced by Jon Marc Sandifer, VP of Original Programming for Centric.
