Athletico Physical Therapy Opens First-Ever Clinic for Hand Therapy in St. Louis, Missouri

ST. LOUIS--()--Athletico recently opened the Butler Hill Hand Therapy clinic at 5201 Midamerica Plaza, Ste. 2600, 63129, on the campus of Washington University’s Center for Advanced Medicine – South County. Although this marks Athletico’s 30th location in St. Louis, it will serve as Athletico’s first clinic specializing solely in hand therapy.

“This location’s focus on hand therapy is truly unique”

“This location’s focus on hand therapy is truly unique,” said Facility Manager and Certified Hand Therapist, Kathy Dahm, OTR/L, CHT. “There was a need for more hand, wrist, and upper extremity care in the community and we’re looking forward to offering these specialized services.”

Dahm has been with Athletico, formerly PRORehab, since 1997. She’s a veteran Hand Therapist whose experience involves working with patients of all ages and health backgrounds – from severe tendon damage in injured workers to the aging population whom she treats for arthritis pain or fractures due to slips and falls.

“My patients include those who would like to improve function after an injury or surgery to those who have permanent impairment,” said Dahm. “When helping a wide range of patients, it’s important to create personalized goals that make sense for the individual.”

Athletico also has a full clinic located on the second level in Washington University’s Center for Advanced Medicine building.
