MIAMI--()--Adding to the network’s consolidated Motorsports roster currently including FIM WorldSBK and Rallycross, beIN SPORTS announces the addition of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship to its premier lineup of global sporting events. The races, along with complementary original programming, will become available to U.S. viewers exclusively on beIN SPORTS, beIN SPORTS en Español and beIN SPORTS CONNECT this year.

MotoGP™ is the world's premier motorcycling championship that begins its 2016 season of 18 Grands Prix events in March. Famous for featuring the world's top motorcycle manufacturers Honda, Yamaha, Ducati, Suzuki and Aprilia piloted by the most talented international riders, such as nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, two-time world champion Marc Marquez, and reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo. The championship debuted in 1949 and is now contested in 15 countries annually.

The 2016 WorldSBK competition will mark its 29th season and the fourth year that beIN SPORTS exclusively broadcasts the races in the U.S. Last year, Nicky Hayden, the last American to win the MotoGP™ World Championship in 2006, announced that he would be moving to the WorldSBK starting in 2016. Known as the “Kentucky Kid,” Nicky will join Ten Kate Racing alongside Michael Van Der Mark.
