PCCA Ranked as One of the Top Workplaces for 2015 by Houston Chronicle

HOUSTON--()--PCCA has been selected as one of the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces for 2015. The company was ranked ninth among 50 mid-sized Houston-area employers having 150–499 employees. Eighty-seven companies were nominated in the mid-sized employer category. The company also was ranked on the list in 2014.

“At PCCA we have a strong commitment to quality in the products and services we provide, and in our approach to employee satisfaction”

“At PCCA we have a strong commitment to quality in the products and services we provide, and in our approach to employee satisfaction,” said Jim Smith, president of PCCA. “We have a culture of respect and appreciation for one another’s talents and contributions. It’s a very fulfilling and fun place to work. A huge part of that feeling comes from serving pharmacy clients who are making a unique difference providing personalized medications to their patients. Together we’re making the world a better place in a special way. Our teams thrive in a culture of service to others.”

The Top Workplaces program recognizes good employers on 30 regional lists and one national list through publishing partners like the Houston Chronicle. The evaluations for the list are based purely on employee opinions, which are gathered through the 22-question Workplace Dynamics employee survey. The survey measures three critical workplace dimensions: OrgHealth™, the day-to-day job and employee engagement. Each year, more than 1 million people at more than 4,000 companies complete the survey.

Cyndi Hicks, director of Events Management of PCCA, added: “The strong company culture at PCCA is why I have been with the company for more than three decades. PCCA puts an enormous amount of effort, energy and resources into assuring that the culture is strong so that everyone understands and values how they contribute to the important work we do.”

PCCA is a complete resource for independent compounding pharmacies. The company’s members are nearly 4,000 independent community pharmacists in the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries around the world. PCCA was incorporated in 1981 by a network of pharmacists who recognized the need to help patients requiring customized medications. Those pharmacists became pioneers in the modern era of pharmacy compounding.
