3rd Annual 21 Gun Salute Luncheon for the United States Marines for “Toys for Tots” to be Held at the 21 Club in New York on December 9th

NAPLES, Fla.--()--Naples, Fla. resident & Bronx native, Stewart Jacobson, Author/Producer and Humanitarian for the Marines is presenting the 3rd Annual 21 Gun Salute Luncheon for the United States Marines for “Toys for Tots” at the 21 Club in New York on December 9, 2015 at 12:21 PM.

The guest of honor is Mort Walker of Beetle Bailey fame. Mort is celebrating his 65th anniversary creating Beetle Bailey, which is read by over 200 million people every day in 52 countries. Jacobson has known Mort for over 35 years and Mort creates Beetle Bailey cartoons for Jacobson’s projects; including the Monopoly cartoon that is in the program book for this event. Jacobson cherishes two letters that are in the program book; one from Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin E. Dempsey and the other from the Great Walter Cronkite. Jacobson is celebrating the 33rd anniversary of sending 100 Monopoly games to U.S. Marines in Beirut, Lebanon on December 10, 1982. Jacobson meets Marines that still have the game and play it with their children and grandchildren. He has sent 100 80th Anniversary Monopoly games to the Marines in New York City along with 100 Little Tikes-Cozy Cars and toys that arrived in Naples for the Marines.

Jacobson would like to invite everyone to stop by the “21” Club on 21 West 52nd Street and donate a new, unwrapped toy, check or money order made out to “Toys for Tots” on December 9th between 9am-Noon.

Jacobson would be thrilled to have his friend, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, attend - whom he has known since December 5, 1986 when Prince Albert wrote to Jacobson’s parents on their 50th wedding anniversary. Another invited guest includes “Adele” since she had called Jacobson twice and never had reached him; once from the Academy Awards, which Jacobson had attended twice (Forrest Gump & Moonstruck) and another time when Adele was at Harrods in London. Ray Livosi, Sinatra tribute artist, will be performing in honor of Sinatra’s 100th birthday. Matt Lauer and Al Roker have been invited. Jacobson appeared on the Today show with Al Roker, October 21, 2009 for Toys for Tots.
