Karen May, M.D. Appointed Medical Director, Hospice and Palliative Care For Visiting Nurse Health System

Responsible for providing medical oversight for hospice program

ATLANTA--()--Visiting Nurse Health System announced the recent promotion of Karen May, M.D., to lead its hospice medical team. Board certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, and Emergency Medicine, Dr. May’s responsibility will be to provide medical oversight for the organization’s hospice program at home, at Hospice Atlanta Center, and in inpatient hospice units located within its partner hospitals. Prior to joining Visiting Nurse, Dr. May was a staff physician at several Atlanta-area hospitals, including Henry Medical Center, Southern Regional Medical Center, and, currently, at Piedmont Hospital.
