Greater Ann Arbor Region Partners Host Site Selectors to Market the Region to Growing Businesses

ANN ARBOR, Mich.--()--This week, the Greater Ann Arbor Region economic development partners are hosting a tour of the region for site selectors, who inform and advise growing businesses that are looking for a destination for relocation. The three-day tour includes visits at SPARK Central, leading local businesses as well as unique cultural venues that contribute to the Ann Arbor region’s quality of place.

“With world class dining and entertainment, a wide range of parks, trails, and green spaces, and top-rated schools, it’s easy to see why businesses – and the type of talent they want to employ - choose to call this region home.”

Site selectors will hear from businesses in Washtenaw and Livingston counties. Tour stops include SPARK Central, Google, Menlo Innovations, Pillar Technology and University of Michigan’s MCity, The visitors will hear from a range of companies throughout their visit, including Thai Summit, Truven Health, Nexient, and Eberspaecher.

“Bringing site selectors to the region is a strategic way to market Ann Arbor and attract new business,” said Paul Krutko, president and CEO of Ann Arbor SPARK. “Businesses have limitless choices when deciding where to grow and it’s imperative to our continued economic growth that Ann Arbor be top of mind as the ideal location when those decisions are being made.”

To promote Ann Arbor’s quality of life, the site selectors will also have a bus tour of the region, visit local restaurants, and see first hand what makes this region unique.

The site selector tour is sponsored by the Greater Ann Arbor Region partners, the Ann Arbor Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
