BlackRock Announces Closing of Reorganization of Two BlackRock Michigan Municipal Closed-End Funds

NEW YORK--()--BlackRock Advisors, LLC today announced that the reorganization of BlackRock MuniYield Michigan Quality Fund II, Inc. (NYSE:MYM) with and into BlackRock MuniYield Michigan Quality Fund, Inc. (NYSE:MIY and, together with MYM, the “Funds”) (the “Reorganization”) is effective as of the opening for business of the New York Stock Exchange on September 14, 2015.

In the Reorganization, common shareholders of MYM received an amount of MIY common stock equal to the aggregate net asset value of their holdings of MYM common stock as determined at the close of business on September 11, 2015. Fractional shares of MIY common stock were not issued in the Reorganization and consequently cash will be distributed for any such fractional amounts.
