D.A. Davidson Expands Wealth Planning Leadership Team

Steve Condon; April Zee; Daryl Geffken join Seattle, Los Angeles, Spokane offices, Expand financial planning expertise and services

Davidson & Co., an employee-owned full-service investment firm, announced today the additions of Steve Condon to serve as co-director of wealth planning; April Zee as associate director of wealth planning; and Daryl Geffken to manage the wealth planning resource group. The new hires come as D.A. Davidson continues to expand financial planning capabilities and services offered to clients.

Condon works alongside Hedley Green, also a co-director of wealth planning, to help the firm’s financial advisors and clients create comprehensive financial plans and resolve complex wealth planning issues. He has extensive experience in financial services, most recently as head of the Colorado-based Corundrum Group. He also served as director of Wealth Management for J.C. Bradford & Company and as vice president and director of Corporate Executive Services for RBC Wealth Management in Minneapolis. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.

Zee, who is based in the Los Angeles office of Crowell, Weedon & Co., a division of D.A. Davidson, provides planning services and helps in financial planning administration. With 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, Zee has spent the last 10 years in leading planning roles with Union Bank and Wells Fargo. She holds advanced degrees in psychology, allowing her to bring a unique perspective to the financial planning process. She earned her master’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University and a doctorate in psychology from Ryokan College.

Geffken manages the wealth planning team’s planning resource group, which will field inquiries, supports the senior planners, and provides guidance for the firm’s financial planning software program. He was promoted to the new role after joining D.A. Davidson in July 2014 and facilitating the launch of the firm’s planning software, including training the firm’s financial advisors and professional staffs to use the program. He has previous experience in organizational management and teaching, and holds a doctorate in leadership from Gonzaga University.

The wealth planning team supports nearly 400 financial advisors and their professionals staff who comprise D.A. Davidson’s Individual Investor Group and its southern California division, Crowell, Weedon & Co.
