Carsten Thomsen Appointed Vice President, EMEA, for RES Software

Seasoned Technology Channel and Sales Executive to Propel RES’ Global Growth

PHILADELPHIA--()--RES Software, the leading digital workspace technology company, today announced that software industry sales veteran Carsten Thomsen has joined the company as Vice President, EMEA, leading the RES sales and channel business for the Europe, Middle East and Africa. With a long track record of stellar achievement in driving organic growth, and a particular focus on channel partners, Mr. Thomsen will oversee the RES sales team members throughout the region.

“Bringing Carsten onboard was one of my first actions at RES,” said Al Monserrat, Chief Executive Officer of RES Software. “We worked as a close team at Citrix, where he accomplished great things, including rapid growth, the design and rollout of new channel programs and geographic expansion. Here at RES, he’s starting with a team of strong, experienced sales players and a powerhouse channel. Some great things are going to happen.”

Mr. Thomsen has been General Manager of the Midis Group, which oversees a portfolio of businesses devoted to sell and service equipment and software. Previously he was Vice President, Channels, Sales Programs & Strategy, EMEA, at Citrix Systems, where he led all sales activity in the region for cloud, system integrators, strategic alliances and channel partners. He tripled the revenue contribution from strategic system integrators, building a massive pipeline, and established a dedicated Microsoft relationship manager team focusing on joint sales opportunities.” Mr. Thomsen was also Area Vice President at Citrix, responsible for the Nordic countries. Before his 13-year tenure at Citrix began, he was in sales roles with Hitachi Data Systems and SynergiData A/S. In his new role with RES, which was named a Gartner Cool Vendor in 2015 for infrastructure services, Mr. Thomsen will report to Al Monserrat, CEO.
