Flushing Bank Opens New Branch with Nautilus Hyosung America Branch Transformation Technology

Community bank to be the first to deploy cash recycling technology into ATM network

DALLAS--()--Nautilus Hyosung America (Hyosung), the fastest growing supplier of ATMs in North America and the market leader in Branch Transformation solutions, today announced that Flushing Bank will be utilizing Hyosung’s cutting-edge branch transformation technology in its new branch in Uniondale, NY.

“This is a new way of banking and we are proud to deploy cash recycling for the first time in an ATM network”

Flushing Bank will be implementing Hyosung’s MX8800 solution to facilitate the evolution of the branch distribution channel. This solution provides customers a staff-assisted channel for conducting routine transactions while enabling bankers to spend quality time consulting with customers to better understand their banking needs.

“We are excited to be one of the first community banks in the New York area to be introducing this new technology. This full-service branch will showcase a new branch model that combines innovative technology with highly trained people to deliver a superior customer experience,” said John R. Buran, Flushing Bank President and CEO. “This new branch provides us with the opportunity to offer banking services to all of the individuals and business owners in the building and the surrounding areas. It also expands our presence in Nassau County and further underscores our commitment to the individuals, families and businesses that live or work in Nassau County.”

This is the first installation Hyosung will enable with a comprehensive cash management and recycling system. With this implementation the new branch devices will be able to use a customer’s deposited cash for future withdrawals, reducing the frequency of cash replenishments. The MX800 also features multi-denomination cash and single deposit settlement services.

“This is a new way of banking and we are proud to deploy cash recycling for the first time in an ATM network,” said Joe Militello, VP of Software and Professional Services, Nautilus Hyosung America. “We are excited to be working with Flushing Bank as it continues to demonstrate its dedication to meet the evolving needs of the customer while optimizing branch time and resources.”

Following the installation at Flushing Bank’s new Uniondale branch, the bank plans to further implement Hyosung’s technology at the opening of future branches.
