SAN FRANCISCO--()--Cloudmark, Inc., the most trusted leader in security, protecting traffic, data and infrastructure from network threats, today announced significant growth and momentum in 2014, with a 24 percent increase in bookings over the previous fiscal year based on strong demand for its security solutions. This year marked a milestone for the company as it expanded the breadth of its technology portfolio by introducing a new solution to provide advanced protection for enterprises and service providers to safeguard their DNS infrastructure and traffic. Cloudmark also achieved several global customer wins and appointed technology industry veteran George Riedel as its new CEO.

Key customer wins in 2014 include TalkTalk, which provides television, landline, broadband and mobile services to businesses and consumers in the United Kingdom, and SouthernLINC Wireless, a wireless communications company based in the United States. Russian mobile operator VimpelCom, working under the Beeline brand, also selected Cloudmark to protect its 56.3 million mobile customers from spam, phishing and malware attacks across email, SMS and MMS. Terra Networks, a global digital media company and content producer, also selected Cloudmark to protect its subscribers from abuse. Additionally, a leading ISP in Canada followed suit with a growing number of new customers by selecting Cloudmark to replace its incumbent messaging security solution.

George Riedel, who previously served as chairman of Cloudmark’s board of directors, joined Cloudmark as the company’s CEO. Riedel has more than three decades of experience at top companies, including senior executive positions at Nortel Networks, Juniper Networks and McKinsey & Company.

“Cloudmark made impressive strides in 2014, expanding our customer base and broadening our security portfolio,” said George Riedel, CEO, Cloudmark. “We continue to make enormous progress in the security industry by helping customers address a variety of security threats, whether they’re messaging borne or are targeting network vulnerabilities. Cloudmark’s advanced security solutions address the most complex network threats at massive scale and volumes for the world’s largest and most demanding network environments. In 2014, Cloudmark introduced Cloudmark Security Platform for DNS, which delivers advanced protection for the Domain Name System (DNS). With Cloudmark’s solution, service providers and enterprises can quickly identify and block many DNS-borne threats that cause data breaches, malware infestations and network outages. Cloudmark recently partnered with one of the largest DDI resellers in the UK, who provide multi-layered security services that protect networks and their users from targeted assaults on resources and data. The two companies will work together to address the growing need for DNS security and to help strengthen organizations’ DNS infrastructures.

In addition to Cloudmark Security Platform for DNS, the company also announced a new version of Cloudmark Security Platform for Email, which features key enhancements for flexible deployment, simplified policy management, increased message-delivery control and optimized message-handling performance.
