From the heart of Tinseltown and beyond, Butterfinger is partnering with comedians and real-life spouses Samantha Bee and Jason Jones of “The Daily Show” to bring fans exclusive, on-the-ground, behind-the-scenes coverage. With this dynamic comedic duo, Butterfinger will aim to “butt into” the events and fanfare surrounding Hollywood’s biggest season in order to inject a bit of deliciousness and unexpected fun.

Armed with a supply of BUTTERFINGER® Peanut Butter Cups, which take the classic peanut butter and chocolate combination to a whole new level of smooth and crunchy, the intrepid duo will canvas the streets of New York and Los Angeles to uncover the behind-the-scenes stories of awards season. “We want to show how a dose of Butterfinger can make any situation unexpectedly fun,” said Butterfinger brand manager Fabiola del Rio. Building off a big selfie moment during last year’s Hollywood awards season, Butterfinger aims to take it a step further this year by introducing a new kind of selfie: the ‘Belfie’, or Butterfinger Selfie.

“We're excited to partner with Butterfinger on this project because quite honestly nobody "butts in" better than we do,” said Samantha Bee. “Who cares about the gold statues when you can run around town taking pictures of people with a Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup?”

Noted Jason Jones: “It was a no-brainer to do this project. Especially since I'm 99 percent sure we're getting paid in Butterfinger Cups. Well, that's what Sam told me anyway, and I'm comfortable with that.”

In addition, Bee and Jones are also in the midst of developing a new TBS comedy series that they will produce, and which Jones will star in.

Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups

Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups debuted last year in a 30-second spot at the Big Game and continues to be a huge hit with consumers. Featuring a smooth, peanut-buttery filling with just the right amount of Butterfinger crunchy pieces mixed in, and rich milk chocolate.
