MEGA Focuses on IT Strategy Delivery at Government Conference

Will show federal agencies how to create successful foundation for emerging challenges

BOSTON--()--MEGA International has been invited by the Office of the CIO of the Defense Security Service (DSS) to participate in the DSS Industry Day and Technology Exposition on February 18, 2015 in Quantico, VA. The event provides an opportunity for industry partners to hear from agency leaders on current DSS initiatives and emerging challenges in the context of the changing technology and security environment.

“A solid IT strategy delivery plan provides an important foundation for tracking and traceability of data, while serving as a powerful communication platform for multiple projects across agencies.”

MEGA will discuss its solutions for IT strategy delivery, which is an increasingly popular methodology for government agencies and businesses to create risk-aware, cost-effective IT governance. Successful IT strategy delivery incorporates a comprehensive view and understanding of the organization’s business plan to successfully map, evaluate, embrace, and communicate evolutions in the IT landscape.

“Many agencies struggle to get data faster, keep it up-to-date, and assure its accuracy. For security-related information, it is essential to have an effective means to protect the data,” noted Lucio de Risi, CEO, MEGA. “A solid IT strategy delivery plan provides an important foundation for tracking and traceability of data, while serving as a powerful communication platform for multiple projects across agencies.”

In addition to providing integrated tools to help organizations rationalize and align major IT assets with IT strategy, MEGA helps enterprises organize technology resources with frameworks such as the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF 2.0).

Using MEGA solutions, agencies can gain other significant benefits:

  • Leverage data to drive decisions and speed adoption
  • Promote agency collaboration with a common, standardized language, both within and across agencies
  • Address previously unsolvable problems and anticipate future business needs
  • Improve consistency across all agency landscapes through a centralized repository
  • Facilitate integration of multiple systems and technologies and become more transparent

DSS is an agency of the US Department of Defense (DoD) that provides security support services to the military services, defense agencies and 26 federal agencies. DSS also provides these services to approximately 13,500 contractor facilities that are eligible for access to classified information or award of a classified contract by the US government. The agency oversees the protection of US and foreign classified information and technologies in the hands of private industry.
