Summit Recognizes Pepperdine for Work in NeuroLeadership Education

LOS ANGELES--()--Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management and the research and educational provider NeuroLeadership Institute have come together to offer a unique six-month certificate program that unlocks the science behind extraordinary leadership performance. The Executive Certificate in Applied Neuroleadership, aimed at targeting executive professionals, will teach participants to translate complex neuroscience principles into practical leadership and organizational strategies for success.

“The Executive Certificate in Applied Neuroleadership is the only program of its kind. The program combines online seminars delivered by the NeuroLeadership Institute’s experts and Pepperdine’s Graziadio School faculty who lead face-to-face workshops, executive roundtables, individualized coaching and applied field projects”

In addition, The Graziadio School is partnering with the NeuroLeadership Institute as a Sliver Sponsor for the 2014 Neuroleadership Summit, in San Francisco, October 7-9, 2014. The summit recognizes the Executive Certificate in Applied Neuroleadership, as a cutting edge educational tool to improve organizational effectiveness and leadership development.

“The Executive Certificate in Applied Neuroleadership is the only program of its kind. The program combines online seminars delivered by the NeuroLeadership Institute’s experts and Pepperdine’s Graziadio School faculty who lead face-to-face workshops, executive roundtables, individualized coaching and applied field projects,” said program leader Dr. Terri Egan, an associate professor of Applied Behavioral Science at Pepperdine University, who teaches in its top-ranked Masters of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) program. “At this year’s summit, Pepperdine was invited to share insights into neuroleadership education and the application of neuroleadership skills to improve individual and organization performance.”

In April 2015, the Executive Certificate in Applied Neuroleadership welcomes its second cohort, designed for professionals responsible for training employees and the success of all talent within an organization. The program introduces participants to the neurocognitive principles that contribute to effective leadership in complex environments to:

  • Build practical strategies to increase individual and organizational effectiveness.
  • Gain practical strategies to overcome bias and develop the leadership mindset required to deal with workplace challenges and opportunities.
  • Develop insight into increasing collaborative success, fostering radical accountability and compassion, and supporting a collegial culture that minimizes the fear-based reactions that hinder innovation.
