Castleton Commodities International LLC Hires Michael A. Goldstein as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

STAMFORD, Conn.--()--Castleton Commodities International LLC (“CCI” or the “Company”) announced the hiring of Michael A. Goldstein as general counsel and corporate secretary. Mr. Goldstein will be based in CCI’s Stamford office.

Reed II, President and Chief Executive Officer of CCI. “Michael’s unique combination of commercial and legal experience will be a tremendous asset to the Company as we continue to grow our existing business and expand into new markets globally.”

Mr. Goldstein has been a commodity merchant executive for over 20 years. Prior to joining CCI in October 2014, he was the Head of Policy and Strategy at J.P. Morgan Global Commodities where he advised the CEO of the commodities group on a broad range of business management and risk control matters. Mr. Goldstein was the General Counsel of RBS Sempra Energy for over a decade where he eventually went on to serve as the Co-Chief Executive Officer. In 2011, when Societe Generale entered the North American natural gas and power trading business, Mr. Goldstein served as its Co-Chief Executive Officer. Before entering the trading business, Mr. Goldstein was a corporate attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

Mr. Goldstein earned his J.D. from Emory University. He has an M.A. from the Columbia University School of International Affairs and a B.A. in English and International Affairs from Bucknell University.
