Krewe Energy Acquires Little Lake Field

COVINGTON, La.--()--Krewe Energy, LLC, (“Krewe Energy”) a privately held independent oil and gas exploration and production company based in Covington, Louisiana, announced today that it recently completed the acquisition of 100% of JGC Energy Development (USA) Inc.’s interest in the Little Lake Field located in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana.

The Little Lake Field is a South Louisiana legacy property that has been actively producing since the late 1940's. Krewe Energy now controls more than 2,000 gross acres and 35 wellbores within the field, consisting of current production and an inventory of well recompletion and new drill prospects. The field is operated by Krewe Energy’s operating entity, S2 Energy Operating, LLC. In conjunction with the Little Lake Field acquisition, Krewe Energy also acquired JGC Energy’s interest in the Three Bayou Bay Field in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana along with various other minor non-operated working interests in the Little Lake Field.

These acquisitions of additional South Louisiana assets, which had an effective date of January 1, 2014, bring Krewe Energy to an overall net production rate in excess of 1,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Krewe Energy continues to focus on the growth and further development of its existing asset base and the acquisition of mature legacy assets within the South Louisiana oil and gas trend.
