TROY, N.Y.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Three experts from Treo Solutions will present at the Fourth National Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Congress and the co-located National Health Insurance Exchange Summit West on November 4 – 6 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, CA.
“The New Exchange Marketplace: Evaluating and Mitigating Risk by Optimizing Networks.”
On Tuesday, November 5 at 3:45 p.m. (PST), Treo’s Chief Medical Officer, L. Gordon Moore, MD, will present, “Patients to Populations: Assessing the Value of Data Sources for Managing and Improving Health Status and Outcomes,” during the Fourth National ACO Congress.
- Dr. Moore will provide an in-depth overview of the clear and essential role actionable data and analytics play in measuring, managing, and tracking healthcare costs, utilization, quality, and access. He will demonstrate the contribution of administrative (claims) data to an understanding of person and population needs, intervention opportunities, and outcomes. In particular, Dr. Moore will share how effectively managing the health of populations, while lowering total cost-of-care, requires a new mindset and rethinking of traditional data silos, and investigating the potential power and applicability of new or integrated data sources.
On Wednesday, November 6 at 8:00 a.m. (PST), Treo’s Senior Vice President of Market Development, Barbara DeBuono, MD, MPH, will facilitate a panel discussion on, “The New Exchange Marketplace: Evaluating and Mitigating Risk by Optimizing Networks.” Session panelists include: Paul LaBrec, Treo’s Director of Research; Matthew Mellor, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder, Strenuus, Kansas City, MO; and Michael Tennison, Director of Provider Relations and Network Innovation, Network Management, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Eagan, MN.
- All healthcare organizations are challenged by the rapid changes brought about by reform, with the recent launch of health insurance exchanges further accelerating transformation of the healthcare marketplace. Because evaluating and mitigating “risk” will be essential to success, this expert panel will examine the changing nature of risk and network development. Panel members will offer a national perspective on developing and managing networks for new exchange products, examine the exchange activities in one state and the lessons learned to date, and review methods for assessing, promoting, and optimizing network performance.
