“Card@Once provides the simplicity needed to spark the industry’s widespread adoption of instant issuance and this milestone reflects the hard work of our team and its ability to refine the industry’s approach to instant issuance by streamlining the entire process – from start to finish”
EFT Source, Inc., a provider of turnkey card programs and personalization services for ATM and debit cards for financial institutions, announced at BAI Retail Delivery 2013 that it has realized a 370 percent increase in the total number of active Card@Once printers across the United States. Card@Once provides new or replacement debit, pre-paid and reloadable cards on site within the branch environment.
With Card@Once, customer data is securely transferred from the branch location to EFT Source, where it is immediately processed, converted to an encrypted file and returned to the branch electronically – all on EFT Source’s patented card network. Card@Once encodes the data, allows the customer to self-select a customizable PIN and delivers a ready-to-use debit card.
In support of rapid industry adoption of Card@Once, EFT Source has continued to further develop the solution, with recently implemented Card@Once features including:
- The ability to encode EMV chip cards to support EMV-capable cards;
- Increased security for the transmission of critical data with single-sign on;
- PIN Only Integration (POI) for PIN selection independent of card printing;
- Automated status check communicating the status of printer prior to use, avoiding wasted materials and failed print jobs;
- Cleaning alert notification of machine’s cleaning schedule; kit provided for task if needed; and
- 24-hour replacement if a technical issue cannot be resolved quickly.
“Card@Once provides the simplicity needed to spark the industry’s widespread adoption of instant issuance and this milestone reflects the hard work of our team and its ability to refine the industry’s approach to instant issuance by streamlining the entire process – from start to finish,” said Bill Dinker, president of EFT Source. “Adding EMV capabilities to Card@Once ensures that we continue to provide financial institutions with the same levels of exemplary service that EFT Source is known for while preparing them to meet future requirements of a constantly evolving industry.”
