The theme of this year’s ISPOR (International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research) European Congress, taking place at The Convention Centre Dublin from November 2nd through 6th, is “Finding the Right Pieces for the Healthcare Decision-Making Puzzle.”
The complex pricing and reimbursement systems across Europe represent a puzzle – one that pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic companies need to understand if they are to develop successful market access strategies for new health technologies in the region. Over 200 delegates have registered to attend GfK’s short course entitled “Reimbursement Systems in Europe” (on Sunday, November 3rd, at 8:00AM) – a clear indication of how important this topic is to industry.
Experts from GfK Bridgehead will also present a number of posters on subjects such as:
- Cost effectiveness studies (European and US) in stroke prevention, hypertension, advanced or metastatic NSCLC, chemotherapy-induced anemia, and other conditions
- Clinical and patient-reported outcomes studies in cancer treatment
- Benefit assessments for biosimilar medications
- Achieving market access for innovative products
- Approaches to personalized healthcare in cancer treatment
- Health technology assessments
GfK Bridgehead Managing Director Timothy Fitzgerald said, “One of ISPOR’s key aims is to provide a forum to facilitate the interchange of scientific knowledge in pharmacoeconomics/health economics and patient health outcomes. This year’s meeting in Dublin – which will attract a record number of delegates from industry, academia, and the payer/provider community – promises to achieve this and more. We look forward to meeting up and sharing insights with clients, colleagues and friends.”
GfK Bridgehead is a leading global provider of pricing, reimbursement, health economic and market access support and a preferred partner for many major companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and diagnostic industries.
GfK will also have an exhibitor booth at the conference (locations 20, 21).
