HOUSTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Law Firm is continuing to capitalize on innovative technology to improve client service: The Sloan Firm, with offices in Longview and Houston, Texas, is providing its seriously injured clients with Google Nexus Tablet computers equipped with special applications that enable injured clients to document their recovery through special programs designed to monitor medication, therapy sessions, medical procedures, doctors’ visits and orders.
The Medical Care Companion provides specially designed software selected by technology expert Patrick Anderson, chief executive officer of Your Law Firm App (www.yourlawfirmapp.com), and licensed for use by The Sloan Firm. The cloud-based feature of the tablet makes information readily available to the client’s attorney and staff. The software contains applications that are embedded in the Google Nexus tablet. The integration of the Google tablet with other Google features such as Gmail, Google docs, chat and calendaring makes the Nexus an ideal tablet for injury case communication and management.
“We have discovered that by equipping our clients with Google tablets, we are better able to chart their progress as they recover from serious injuries or begin to manage a life-altering situation. The tablet allows us to communicate easily with our clients and enables them to capture all aspects of their recovery, which gives us a tremendous advantage in assisting them with their case,” explained Laureen Bagley, managing partner of The Sloan Firm.
In addition to improving attorney-client communication, the Google Nexus tablet features applications that enable clients to capture and maintain a video and photo diary of their injury or resulting disability. The system also boasts applications that track doctors’ and lawyers’ appointments. The tablet includes “Celebrate Life” video templates designed to capture comments from friends and relatives who can attest to the client’s condition before and after the accident or injury. The “Healing” app, perhaps one of the most unique features of the “Medical Care Companion,” includes peaceful, calming sounds and images designed to promote well-being and relaxation.
Ruth Kay, a resident of Kilgore, Texas, and a client of The Sloan Firm, shared these comments about her experience with the Google tablet: “I use my tablet about four days a week to keep up with my physical therapy sessions, my pain level and what type of discomfort or pain I am experiencing, such as swelling in my legs and feet. I have also used the tablet to take pictures of scars and swelling as a result of the injuries from my fall. The notes I record on the tablet help me to keep up with how I have been progressing with the healing process.”
Earlier this year, The Sloan Law Firm introduced a mobile accident and injury app for smart phones in English and Spanish versions. For more information or to download the app, please visit www.Texasinjuryapp.com or www.Texaslesionesapp.com.
