IRVINE, Calif.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--AnyDATA Corporation, a leading wireless device and solutions provider, today announced the formation of a new government business unit to address the rapidly growing public safety market in the United States. The new business unit hopes to address the needs of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), the new nationwide broadband network dedicated to public safety. Utilizing wireless engineering teams with extensive experience developing products for all major US wireless operators, AnyDATA plans to make a significant entry into the market with an array of LTE products.
“This is an exciting opportunity for AnyDATA, and we look forward to making positive contributions to the US public safety market”
“This is an exciting opportunity for AnyDATA, and we look forward to making positive contributions to the US public safety market,” said Dr. Soon B. Shin, CEO of AnyDATA. “We are one of the few US companies with in-house LTE engineering expertise in all the latest technologies, including VoLTE. We can provide end-to-end public safety solutions by combining our LTE smartphones, tablets, and rugged, in-vehicle mobile hotspots with our location-based services platform. By utilizing the existing designs, we can reduce the products development cycles which will significantly minimize costs.”
Most AnyDATA LTE devices already support Bands 4 and 13. Among these devices, Band 4 can be quickly converted to Band 14, the public safety frequency band of FirstNet, while Band 13 can be used for national roaming purposes. By supporting roaming on Band 13, AnyDATA can eliminate the concerns about limited network coverage during the early stages of FirstNet’s network deployment.
In addition to the entry to the public safety market, AnyDATA will continue focusing on mHealth solutions for the aging population, as well as connected car solutions to improve the safety of young drivers.
AnyDATA Corporation develops and markets a range of smart car devices and mHealth products that combine an expertise in location-based services (LBS) platform and 2G/3G/4G wireless technologies with various smart sensor technologies. The company’s key strength lies in its strong engineering and ability to create differentiated value for its customers by rapidly developing diverse wireless products and providing end-to-end integrated wireless solutions. As a wireless business enabler, its expertise in enabling non-wireless business partners to become wireless device/solution providers is a major asset to its business partners. With R&D centers in US, Korea, and China, AnyDATA products have been certified by more than 60 wireless operators in 45 countries.
AnyDATA Corporation was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Irvine, California. Further information can be found at www.anydata.com.
