MINNEAPOLIS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--LifeScience Alley announced the morning keynote speakers for its 2013 Conference, to be held at the Minneapolis Convention Center on November 20. Experts from 3M Health Care, FedEx Healthcare Solutions, Medtronic, Inc. and Mayo Clinic will offer insight into how businesses can effectively and internally reduce cost and increase customer satisfaction through global supply chain management.
In addition to addressing internal cost containment, this year’s conference – "Healthcare Transformation – Surviving the Shift" - will examine several areas of external pressure facing life science organizations and identify opportunities to adapt to the evolving healthcare marketplace. Experts in the areas of innovation, policy, regulatory, reimbursement, business and finance will share their experiences and insights on staying ahead of the curve.
Randy Berger is managing director, FedEx Worldwide Services, Healthcare Solutions. As an expert in information and account management, Berger supervises a team of global account managers in the life sciences segment of FedEx. Prior to joining FedEx, he developed information management systems for the banking and financial services industry.
Aaron Jorgensen, senior director of Medtronic Global Supply Chain Logistics Transportation, Trade and License Compliance, has developed an international transportation and logistics infrastructure for Medtronic over the past 14 years. His logistics and transportation experience includes extensive knowledge of small, time-critical package operations.
Brian Melchiori, Lean Six Sigma and supply chain director for 3M Health Care and manufacturing and business operations expert, holds over 25 years of large scale production and distribution experience. Melchiori oversees the efficiency, quality and delivery operations and improvements of 3M’s healthcare products worldwide.
Karen Wolfe, system analyst SCM ERP for Mayo Clinic, holds over 35 years of experience in supply chain management and is part of the GS1 US Healthcare Leadership team. She works across Mayo Clinic's organization on data standards and compliance, focusing on inventory and data integrity.
