NEW YORK & LONDON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--QuantFORUM, an online channel created explicitly for quantitative analysts, traders, market makers, researchers and academics, is now live with content contributed by and for community members. Developed for the global quant community, QuantFORUM (QF) features access to quant-specific news and thought leadership covering risk, trading, and technology, along with video interviews, industry events, math-centric academic and scientific research, white papers and press releases.
“is to allow as many quants and quant-related professionals and academics as possible to connect and communicate, ensuring the free flow of information within the community.”
Made possible by UBS, QuantFORUM’s mission is to serve the world of quantitative finance and trading.
"UBS partnered with TABB Group to create QuantFORUM as a thought leadership portal specifically tailored to the quantitative community," explains Matt Senecal, Head of Business Development, Direct Execution Services at UBS. "We are excited to become active contributors where ideas are exchanged by extremely passionate and intelligent people around some of the most topical threads in our business today."
“It’s a quants world,” says Les Kovach, TabbFORUM’s 18,000-member community editorial director who led QuantFORUM’s launch. “From the pursuit of alpha to risk and compliance, the future of capital markets is quantitative finance. We wanted to create an online community just for quants, a unique place where analysts, traders, market makers, researchers, academics and students can exchange ideas, share thought leadership and talk to each other about what they do and how they do it.”
Membership is by invitation only for quants, quant-related professionals and the quant-academic community. This includes analysts, traders, risk managers, front-, middle- and back-office managers and operational professionals within quantitative shops, drawn from buy-side and sell-side firms, exchange and central counterparty clearing professionals, as well as members of the financial engineering community, including students at the world’s leading academic institutions. In the months ahead, members will be able to invite other professional and academic colleagues, with approval and access through the QF community manager.
“The goal,” says Kovach, “is to allow as many quants and quant-related professionals and academics as possible to connect and communicate, ensuring the free flow of information within the community.”
QuantFORUM, a new channel on TabbFORUM made possible by UBS, is the financial markets only online community built explicitly for the world of quantitative finance and trading. Offering “a calculated view of the markets,” it’s where quantitative analysts, traders, market makers, researchers and academics gather and exchange ideas and thought leadership within a by-invitation-only community, discussing what they do, how they do it, the challenges and opportunities they face and quant-related areas of interest.
In 2010, the capital markets research and consulting firm TABB Group launched TabbFORUM, the online global capital markets community for peer-to-peer contributed opinion and analysis covering current trending industry issues, now tracked daily by 18,000-plus professionals.
