NEW YORK--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--PointRF Solutions LLC (PointRF), a leading provider of safety, security and business intelligence solutions for the health care industry, today announced that Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation will deploy its NoWander Platform to gain access to actionable information used to further enhance efficiencies and improve patient care, while enhancing the dignity and quality of life for residents. The multiyear agreement will be implemented in four phases designed to initially deploy the core solution for high-risk residents, gradually expanding to all residents, staff, and assets, and ultimately integrating advanced services for data analysis and business intelligence.
“By working with this industry leader, PointRF expects to gain invaluable insights into the needs and operations of Long Term Care facilities, which we can use to further help this market manage, assess, predict and respond to resident behavior.”
The NoWander Platform is among numerous technological investments that Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation has made over recent years to ensure that its health care and rehabilitation center and network of community health care programs deliver superior care and services. The facility will rely on PointRF’s dynamic positioning system technology and facility control management to maximize resident safety and security without relying on unwarranted lockdowns or erroneous alarms that typically cause alarm fatigue. Staff, Residents, and assets will be outfit with PointRF radio frequency identification (RFID) devices (resident wristbands and staff badges) that allow personalized profiles, permissions, and safety settings. Information collected from these devices is delivered to the key stakeholders through comprehensive reporting, enhancing Parker’s abilities to achieve greater operational efficiencies, more comprehensive assessment and care for residents, and ultimately providing predictive insight into the behavior of all individuals and assets connected to the system.
“Parker continually searches for new and innovative solutions that will provide our residents with the best, state-of-the-art services,” said Michael N. Rosenblut, President and CEO of Parker Jewish Institute. “PointRF’s NoWander Platform fits that description by delivering unparalleled safety and security, while also providing management with insight into how we can maximize efficiency and create the highest level of care for our residents.”
The PointRF NoWander Platform will be providing a comprehensive replacement for Parker’s legacy resident and staff systems, including access control and a wander prevention system. In addition, the NoWander Platform will be integrated into the Parker asset management and payroll systems.
“Our relationship with Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation is a milestone in the adoption of platform-based solutions,” said Richard Bauer, President and CEO of PointRF Solutions LLC. “By working with this industry leader, PointRF expects to gain invaluable insights into the needs and operations of Long Term Care facilities, which we can use to further help this market manage, assess, predict and respond to resident behavior.”
