The show and conference, to be held at the Miami Beach Convention on October 28-29, is the largest food trade event in the western hemisphere and features 500 exhibitors, comprising food producers from 23 countries, including, Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Singapore, South Korea and the United States. The two-day show includes food and product demonstrations, a chef’s competition and restaurant and trade seminars. Show organizers report that in past years the event has produced over $135 million in actual sales and attracts over 10,000 buyers and small business representatives.
Edgar Asebey-Birkholm is partner and FDA Practice Group Manager at Roetzel & Andress LPA. Mr. Asebey’s practice focuses on foods, medical devices, OTC drugs, and cosmetics and he provides counsel to clients on compliance, registration, importation and enforcement matters related to FDA-regulated products.
