MIAMI--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--The LAB Miami and Refresh Miami announced today that they will create the “South Florida Tech Circus” at TigerDirect’s highly anticipated Tech Bash on November 7th, 2013 at the state-of-the-art Marlins Park. In addition to massive interactive activations via Intel, Sony, Ion and more, the event will also shine a spotlight on the local Miami tech scene thanks to South Florida’s largest tech and web professional meetup, Refresh Miami, and the premier hub for social and tech innovation, The LAB Miami.
“As Miami's technology scene continues to evolve and advance, we are thrilled to collaborate with two of the most innovative local technology institutions to conceive the `South Florida Tech Circus,' an electrifying activation that will further enhance the spectacle and amusement of the evening.”
Inspired by traditional circuses that fascinated us as children, the Tech Circus will play off of those fond memories, with entertainers parading through Miami’s Marlins Park amidst a cavalcade of tech goodness. Some of the tech-based highlights include:
· 3D printing
· Oculus Rift virtual reality demonstration
· Hardware hacking
In addition, expect other tech “maker” trades in software/app development, each separated into different “experience tents.”
Lonny Paul, VP of Marketing & Strategic Initiatives for TigerDirect.com states, “As Miami's technology scene continues to evolve and advance, we are thrilled to collaborate with two of the most innovative local technology institutions to conceive the `South Florida Tech Circus,' an electrifying activation that will further enhance the spectacle and amusement of the evening."
Daniel Lafuente of The LAB Miami adds, “The LAB Miami, in partnership with TigerDirect and Refresh Miami, is proud to showcase some of our most disruptive startups and innovative technologies in a way that is sure to bring out the kid in everyone."
Taking everything we love about technology-apps, new media, new tools-and everything we love about the circus, TigerDirect.com and The LAB Miami have outdone themselves by teaming up with Refresh Miami for a spectacular kick-off to South Florida’s premier tech time of year.
