CHICAGO--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--For the New York Metro Area, 3rd Quarter 2013 data showed a 61.3% increase in new construction projects that were actively bidding compared to the same period one year ago. The findings were just released by the BidClerk Construction Index™ (BCI). In a year-over-year analysis, private construction increased 9.0% and public construction was strongly positive, increasing 79.7%. Total project value for the third quarter of 2013 was $5.5 billion compared to $5.3 billion for the second quarter of 2013.
