BOSTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Today, Gillette® [NYSE: PG] proudly kicks off its official partnership with Movember by inviting men and women to join Team Gillette. As part of Team Gillette, they can join a star-studded lineup of Movember supporters, including ultimate Mo Sista Kate Upton as Team Captain, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, New England Revolution defender Kevin Alston and many more. To up the ante and provide encouragement for anyone growing a Mo this year, Gillette will donate $100 to the Mo Space pages of the first 250 men and women who sign up on Team Gillette. As part of the team, men and women across the country can have the best Movember experience ever and keep Mo’s looking stylish with the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler, all while raising funds for men’s health issues.
“Partnering with Gillette this year makes perfect sense”
Movember is the global men’s health charity encouraging men to grow and women to support the Mo (moustache) for the 30 days of November. Through the power of the moustache, funds and awareness are raised for men’s health to combat prostate and testicular cancer. Mo Bros – men growing out their moustaches – and Mo Sistas – the women who support them – can join Team Gillette by signing up at http://moteam.co/team-gillette. Mo Bros start Movember 1 clean-shaven, which is something Gillette knows a bit about. After shaving down, they let their moustaches grow for the 30 days of November, getting friends, family and colleagues to donate to their Mo-growing efforts.
“I’m so excited to be able to participate in this Movember,” said Team Gillette captain Kate Upton. “I know Team Gillette will be rocking some awesome Mo’s by the end of the month, and it couldn’t be for a better cause.”
“As a leading male grooming brand, we’re thrilled to be a major partner of Movember and to help men stay stylish while also raising awareness for important men’s health issues,” added Hooman Shahidi, senior brand manager, North America.
Seeing some killer Mo’s won’t be the only reason for excitement this Movember. Men and women who join Team Gillette will have the chance to win exciting prizes, including tickets and on-the-field experiences at NFL games, one-of-a-kind pieces of Movember art from artists curated by Complex, signed gear from some of their Movember teammates and more. And because a month with a Mo may be a new challenge for many first time Mo-growers, Gillette will be the ultimate “mo-tivator” for all Mo Bros and Sistas by providing Mo styling tips and social media encouragement. Mo Bros can share their progress online at Movember.com or on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtags #Movember and #TeamGillette. Rallied by their celebrity teammates, members of Team Gillette will be joining Movember’s fight against prostate and testicular cancer.
Gillette is not only committed to creating the best Mo-growing experience possible, but also to helping Mo Bros look their best while doing good. When it comes to maintaining their moustache for Movember, the 3-in-1 Fusion ProGlide Styler will help men trim, shave, and edge with ease.
After registering at Movember.com, the first official rule of Movember is to kick off the month with a smooth-shaven face. So, on October 29, Team Gillette’s star roster of Boston-based athletes will participate in a ceremonial shave down event of their own at Gillette Stadium. New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola, New England Revolution defender Kevin Aliston and fellow members from their teams will have their faces shaved completely in preparation for Movember. On November 1, Team Gillette participants across the country can participate in Movember’s official “Shave the Date: Movember 1” events in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and Boston, where Mo Bros can start the month off right with a fresh shave, courtesy of Gillette’s Fusion ProGlide Styler.
“Partnering with Gillette this year makes perfect sense,” said Mark Hedstrom, country director at Movember US. “Gillette is the leader in men’s grooming and shaving, so they’re a natural fit. We want men to grow their Mo’s, but we also want them to look good while doing good, and Gillette makes that happen.”
Participating Mo Bros can use the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler to not only maintain their Mo’s, but discover the perfect Mo shape that will best complement their style.
