RICHMOND HILL, Ontario & OMAHA, Neb.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Stephen Lipkus, P. Eng., has joined HDR Corporation as managing director for Canada, responsible for overseeing and growing HDR’s Canadian operations in transportation, natural resources and water. He is based in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Prior to joining HDR, Lipkus served as executive director for GO Transit’s $1.5 billion Georgetown South project in Toronto, for the design and construction of infrastructure that will enhance rail service on the existing GO Georgetown Line, as well as accommodate the new UP Express rail link between Pearson International Airport and Toronto’s Union Station.
His 36 years of industry experience also includes vice president at AECOM (formerly UMA Engineering), where he directed a global rail engineering team involved in over 350 projects annually. His clients included Class 1 railroads, short lines, passenger and commuter rail agencies, and transit authorities.
