Ace Electronics was awarded a $30 million dollar contract to provide production services in support of the digitization of the M119A2 Howitzer. The M119A1/A2 105mm howitzer is a lightweight towed weapon that provides direct support fires to light, airborne and air assault forces.
Ace Electronics is manufacturing cable assemblies in Metuchen which will provide the weapon with critical enhanced geographical location capabilities. The improvements will allow the M119A2 to determine its precise geographical location on its own, an upgrade that will greatly improve the effectiveness of the weapon for our U.S. military forces. The contract led to increased jobs for Ace Electronics.
Display of the M119A2 will include representation from the Program Office at Picatinny Arsenal. Special Guests include Keith Gooding, Program Manager, Towed Artillery Systems and other government representatives.
