He is the William F. Sharpe Professor of Financial Economics at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. Professor Grenadier has testified as an expert in investments and derivatives cases in which he addressed disclosure, suitability, and valuation issues. Professor Grenadier has also testified in numerous Employee Retirement Income Security Act matters involving allegations of breach of fiduciary duty, excessive fees, and inappropriate investments.

Professor Grenadier specializes in complex financial asset analysis and teaches courses on investments, portfolio management, and finance theory. He is also a senior financial economist with Financial Engines and a former director of Nicholas Applegate Institutional Funds, AQR Funds, and E*Trade. He earned a Ph.D. in business economics from Harvard University, with a concentration in capital markets and corporate finance.
