RADNOR, Penn.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Hartford Funds hired Chris Poe as the company’s head of brand and advertising. In this new role, Poe will be responsible for building Hartford Funds’ brand through strategic advertising, public relations and internal communications. He will report to Marty Swanson, Hartford Funds’ chief marketing officer, and is based at the company’s Radnor, Penn. headquarters.

Poe brings 25 years of experience to Hartford Funds, most recently serving as an independent brand and communications strategist in New York City. In that capacity, he provided consultation on brand architecture, positioning strategy, segmentation, value proposition development and marketing planning. Previously, he served as the managing director and head of global brand and advertising for BlackRock. In that role, Poe was responsible for the continual development and management of the brand profile, while ensuring consistent messaging globally, tailored to nine specific selling channels throughout the Americas, EMEA and Asia. Prior to BlackRock, Poe held various roles at J.P. Morgan Chase and Chase Manhattan Bank, among others.
