DULUTH, Minn.--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Three Minnesota employers were honored Sunday, October 13, 2013 for their work promoting the health and well-being of their employees and named winners at the Minnesota Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Workplace Well-being Awards. The awards were presented as part of the 2013 Minnesota SHRM State Conference at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center in Duluth.
Sponsored by HealthPartners, the third annual awards recognize achievements in workplace well-being. The awards were established to continue to promote the growth of well-being in Minnesota. They also serve as a venue to share innovations, inspiration and ideas.
The awards program broke down companies into three categories: Small companies with less than 100 employees, mid-sized companies with 100-499 employees and large companies with 500+ employees.

Nico Pronk, chief science officer and vice president for HealthPartners, was a keynote speaker at the event. He presented on the role health and well-being plays in corporate success. He shared best practices, how to reduce costs and increase productivity, and how to attract high quality employees.
