DALLAS--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--American CareSource Holdings (NASDAQ: ANCI), a leading national network of ancillary healthcare providers, announced today that managed care veteran Tanya Lynn has been appointed vice president of provider development.
“American CareSource is fortunate to have a deep bench of management talent with healthcare expertise. Tanya certainly adds to that depth.”
Lynn has worked in a number of senior and management positions during a 15-year career in managed care. Most recently, she served as vice president of managed care at LifeCare Management Systems, which operates 27 long-term acute care hospitals in 10 states.
“Our vast provider network is the company’s core asset, and Tanya’s wealth of experience will reinforce our commitment to providers and our network expansion efforts,” said Richard W. Turner, Chairman of the Board. “American CareSource is fortunate to have a deep bench of management talent with healthcare expertise. Tanya certainly adds to that depth.”
Lynn joined LifeCare in June 2012, just before the company acquired six long-term acute care hospitals. She played a central role in ensuring the new hospitals were contracted and credentialed with health plans while maintaining the continuity of existing contracts. Her industry experience includes the development of networks and contracting providers at viable market terms while serving both health systems and health plans.
Prior to LifeCare, Lynn served five years with Tennessee-based Community Health Systems, including two years with Triad Hospitals, Inc. in Plano, Texas in the role of regional director of managed care. Previous roles include management positions with UnitedHealthcare and PacifiCare.
