HOUSTON--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Victoria Christian, ambassador for Clive Christian Perfume (which the Guinness Book of Records recognizes as “the world’s most expensive perfume,” www.clive.com), has become the first international client of Jonathan Blake LLC (www.jonathanblake.net). Based in London, Victoria Christian purchased made-to-order items from the Jonathan Blake Fall/Winter 2013 collection.
“Jonathan is not just a cookie cutter designer. He blends unusual fabrics and textures so that the woman wearing his pieces can put her personality into them!”
Jonathan Blake was launched by Houston fashion designer Jonathan Tinkle in October 2012 when he was 21 years old. Tinkle and Victoria Christian met at a Neiman Marcus event in Houston for Clive Christian Perfumes about four years ago when Tinkle was only 18. Since then, the two have remained in communication and have been supportive of each other’s business ventures.
“Jonathan and I met due to the power of perfume,” Victoria commented. “He is so young, youthful and cool. He has amazing depth and the maturity of an old soul that belies his age. When we met years ago, Jonathan expressed a thorough understanding of Clive Christian Perfume, its quality and craftsmanship. So….it seems natural that there is a wonderful correlation between quality perfume and quality clothing.”
In April 2013, Victoria Christian attended the Jonathan Blake runway fashion show in Houston where Tinkle introduced the Fall/Winter Collection. Impressed with many of the designs in this collection, Victoria arranged a private consultation with the fashion designer and allowed him to guide her toward a few “out of the box” pieces. She admits she liked the black suede knee-length skirt with the ruffled edge and the cropped, navy suede jacket that Tinkle urged her to consider, but she also did not see herself originally trying them on -- much less buying and wearing these pieces! Victoria retrieved her well-fitting suede skirt and cropped jacket from the Jonathan Blake Atelier in Houston yesterday. She wore her new suede skirt to a charity event last night and reported today that she received numerous compliments.
“Jonathan’s cuts are timeless. They are so elegant and so feminine and not ashamed to be so,” Victoria added. “Jonathan is not just a cookie cutter designer. He blends unusual fabrics and textures so that the woman wearing his pieces can put her personality into them!”
