KEMP, Texas--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Industrial lighting leader Larson Electronics has released a new compact LED low bay light that provides a powerful alternative to fragile metal halide fixtures. The GAU-LB-600 90 Watt Low Bay LED Light combines powerful LEDs with specially designed optics to produce a compact and efficient lamp assembly capable of replacing 400 watt metal halides.
“This low bay LED light is designed for replacing fragile gas burning 400 watt metal halide fixtures in low bay applications”
The Larson Electronics GAU-LB-600 90 watt low bay LED light is a compact yet powerful fixture that offers performance and reliability capable of providing an effective alternative to less durable metal halide low bay lights. This fixture produces 5,000 lumens of light and features 30 LEDs paired with specially designed optics which allows it to illuminate an area comparable in size to that illuminated by a 400 watt metal halide lamp. The housing on this low bay light is constructed from light weight aluminum, and a polycarbonate lens assembly provides a shatterproof barrier against damage to the LEDs. The housing is a specially finned design for effective heat management, and a tough powder coat provides protection against corrosion. This fixture is sealed against water and vapors, making it suitable for wet area use and resistant to the effects of damp and humid conditions. This light runs with 110-277 VAC current, and a simple pigtail harness provides easy and straightforward connection during installation. Mounting is provided by an adjustable stainless steel bracket that allows secure placement and easy positioning. This LED light provides an ideal alternative to metal halide lights that offers instant-on operation, cooler operation, better efficiency, higher durability, and a long 50,000 hour operational life, making it well suited to applications where high reliability and the strength to stand up to demanding operating conditions is critical.
