Award winner Joan Schlachter, Senior Associate, has worked at AESC member recruiting firm BoardWalk Consulting since 2006 and is recognized as a valuable resource and exemplary researcher by her colleagues.
Awardee Annette Wimsatt, Knowledge Manager, has 20 years in the profession, including seven years at Heidrick & Struggles. She is being recognized as key to ongoing business development and search initiatives, going above and beyond to prepare her various colleagues for client meetings.
Ms. Schlachter is the first award recipient to represent executive recruitment in the nonprofit industry. “Ms. Schlachter’s superior knowledge of executive search, combined with her natural talent assessment instincts, rigorous targeting skills and tenacious commitment to excellence make Joan a superb researcher,” said Peter M. Felix, CBE, and AESC President.
Since the award’s inception in 2004, ten researchers have been honored – five from the Americas and five from Europe. The award originated to acknowledge the importance of the researcher and associate role within search firms worldwide. In many cases, this recruitment function is vital and key to a successful search. Founded in 1959, the AESC represents retained executive search consulting firms worldwide, and promulgates ethical and business standards. This award also serves as a testament to AESC’s mission and values.
